USE GUIDELINES

T.R.A.I.L. Home is a shared Christian identity for people intentionally seeking to align their lives with Jesus Christ and BECOME LIKE HIM.

Get Official Logos
THE INVITATION IS GENEROUS ON PURPOSE.
We want creators, churches, ministries, businesses, events, families, and believers to have room to use the identity, create meaningful things, serve people, and point people toward Jesus Christ. These guidelines are here to keep that freedom simple while protecting the shared identity for everyone.

1. WHAT T.R.A.I.L. HOME MEANS

T.R.A.I.L. Home exists to point people toward Jesus Christ - not toward a personality, denomination, product, or company. It is not a new denomination, creed, or path to salvation. Jesus Christ is the way home. Shared center: Jesus Christ. Shared aspiration: BECOME LIKE HIM.

2. WHAT YOU CAN DO TODAY

Under today's guidelines, you may use the approved T.R.A.I.L. Home marks in appropriate products, apparel, artwork, printed materials, websites, social content, events, presentations, signs, media, and other creative expressions. You may currently sell appropriate products you create using the approved identity. You do not need to become an official partner or give up your own brand, audience, doctrine, style, or business.

Your creativity can look like you. The official mark should look like T.R.A.I.L. Home.

3. KEEP THE OFFICIAL MARK RECOGNIZABLE

Use the supplied official files rather than redrawing the master logo. Do not distort, stretch, squash, skew, rearrange, substitute letterforms, alter its proportions or spacing, or present a modified design as the official master mark. Creative artwork may live around the identity; just do not confuse a creative expression with the official logo.

4. KEEP THE MEANING CHRIST-CENTERED

Use should remain consistent with the invitation to follow Jesus Christ and become more like Him. Do not present T.R.A.I.L. Home as a replacement for a church, a new system of salvation, or proof that all Christians share identical doctrine. Do not use the identity for unlawful activity, deception, pornography or sexually explicit material, hatred or demeaning treatment of people, or content that materially contradicts its Christ-centered purpose. Do not imply an official endorsement that has not been given.

5. CREATE WELL

Anything carrying the identity should be something you are willing to associate with an invitation to follow Jesus Christ. Products should be reasonably well made, marks should be legible, and events, media, and experiences should be presented responsibly. T.R.A.I.L. Home may review public uses, request reasonable samples or information, require corrections, or discontinue permission when a use materially departs from these guidelines.

6. YOUR WORK IS YOURS. THE SHARED IDENTITY REMAINS OURS.

You retain whatever rights you otherwise own in your original artwork, content, product design, or other original creation. T.R.A.I.L. Home retains its rights in the T.R.A.I.L. Home name and official marks. Authorized use does not transfer ownership of the identity, and trademark goodwill arising from authorized use is intended to benefit the trademark owner.

7. A SIMPLE BUT IMPORTANT PART OF TODAY'S GENEROSITY

The permission offered through these public guidelines is limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable, nonsublicensable, conditional, and revocable. It is permission to participate under the current guidelines - not a sale or transfer of the identity, a perpetual or irrevocable license, or a promise that today's terms will remain unchanged forever.

Free or royalty-free use today is not a promise of free or royalty-free use forever.

8. WE RESERVE THE ABILITY TO CHANGE HOW THE IDENTITY IS STEWARDED

As T.R.A.I.L. Home grows, the trademark owner may, prospectively and to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, update, narrow, expand, condition, suspend, withdraw, or discontinue permissions under these guidelines. Future use may require approval, a separate written license, licensing fees, royalties, revenue sharing, reporting, product approval, limits, or other terms.

Prior use does not automatically create a grandfathered or permanent right. Investment, promotion, sales, audience growth, product development, creative contribution, or helping increase awareness of T.R.A.I.L. Home does not by itself create ownership of the marks, a right to compensation from the trademark owner, or an entitlement to continued or future free use.

9. IF THE TERMS CHANGE

We want changes to be handled clearly and reasonably. If permission is withdrawn or future terms change, the applicable notice will state when the change takes effect. A user who does not accept the new terms must discontinue the affected use as required by that notice. There is no automatic right to continue producing or selling products, including existing inventory, after authorization ends; any transition or sell-off period must be expressly allowed in writing.

10. WHEN TO TALK WITH US FIRST

Please get written approval before modifying the official master mark; presenting a new graphic as an official T.R.A.I.L. Home logo; entering a material co-branded licensing or sponsorship arrangement, national retail or large-scale manufacturing arrangement centered on the identity; representing yourself as an official chapter, spokesperson, certifier, representative, or exclusive partner; or using the identity in a way likely to imply an official endorsement.

11. NO EXCLUSIVITY OR OWNERSHIP BY USE

Public permission does not grant exclusivity by product, industry, medium, denomination, audience, geography, territory, sales channel, or event type. Do not register or claim T.R.A.I.L. Home, the official marks, or confusingly similar identifiers as your own trademark, business identity, domain, social handle, or other proprietary identifier, and do not sublicense the marks as though you own them.

12. TRADEMARK NOTICE & CURRENT TERMS

T.R.A.I.L. Home™ is claimed as a trademark and a U.S. federal trademark application is pending. Use ™, not ®, unless and until federal registration is issued for the applicable goods or services. Where practical, use: “T.R.A.I.L. Home™ is a trademark of Kevin T. Strong. Used under the then-current T.R.A.I.L. Home Use Guidelines.”

The version published by T.R.A.I.L. Home from time to time is the current public policy for uses governed by these guidelines. A separate written agreement signed by the trademark owner controls if it says something different. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
